Vito’s passion for creating Italian regional favorites begins with using the finest ingredients available, even if that means importing them direct from Italy, creating an authentic Italian experience. ​ Recently recognized as Restaurateur of the Year by the N.H. Lodging & Restaurant Association, his roots are steeped in a love of food. His grandfather, the first Vito, started his culinary career in the 1920’s in New York City’s Little Italy and then opened the first Marcello’s Family Restaurant in Cranston, RI.

Usually eating out means that you have to eat poorly. That's not the case at the Thompson House! Here, you'll be able to eat all natural food creations grown right here in New Hampshire. Our favorite is the Farm Pork Chop, but you may like some of their other offerings.

The May Kelly’s Cottage menu offers a comforting mix of traditional Irish fare and unique age-old recipes with our special May Kelly’s twist. Choose from our famous meatloaf, shepherd’s pie, beef stew, fish n’ chips and so much more. We have a full bar with a unique collection of over 100 Irish and Scotch whiskeys, a specialty cocktail menu and always-cold draft & bottled beer—of course including Guinness®.

In 1975, Peter Kopoulos and two of his best friends wanted to come to the Mt. Washington Valley to live and ski. They came from the North Shore of Massachusetts and wanted to bring the concept of the roast beef sandwich to North Conway. They opened the original Beef & Ski Restaurant in North Conway that year, and it has been a valley legend ever since. For thirty years, the original location provided memories to locals who still talk about it to this day when they visit our new current location. In March of 2013, Peter and his wife, Sarah, re-opened the original concept in a new location in the heart of North Conway Village. This new location has some lovely additions: a cozy pub with full liquor, beer, and wine and a beautiful garden courtyard where the house band plays soft classic rock music every weekend in the summer. We have parking available right out front on the street and are open seven days a week. Takeout is available, too! When the weather permits, which is most of the time in the Valley, we have music in our garden courtyard on weekends. The house band provides soft classic rock music for your dining pleasure.
